Stapleton hosts numerous events throughout the year. The Logan County Fair and Rodeo is held every year in August. The Stapleton Rodeo, billed as "Nebraska's Biggest Little Rodeo,” has been in existence since 1912, and truly lives up to its name. The Logan County Fairgrounds is also the site for the Logan-McPherson High School Rodeo and the Stapleton Junior Rodeo, long-standing rodeo traditions in the community.

The Stapleton Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors a variety of activities throughout the year, including an Easter egg hunt for area children, citywide garage sale day in June, the Logan County Fair barbecue, assists with community clean-up day, and craft fair and Christmas around town in November. They are responsible for the website and actively promote Stapleton throughout the year in numerous ways.

The Vet’s Club holds an annual chili cook-off contest, customer appreciation in December,  and other events throughout the year.
