The end of summer in our area has been very "yellow". All the moisture we have gotten has made the sunflowers grow very tall and abundant. From a distance, the Sandhills look like they have a yellow blanket covering them.
Some people say that we will have sheets of snow as tall as the patches of sunflowers this winter. So instead of yellow hills we will have white hills! The sheets of snow may cause a few snow days, and icy roads, but sure to provide lots of sledding fun!
